New California Law Would Allow Kids To Be Taken From Their Parents Without Evidence of Abuse
In September, Forbes reported that more people are fleeing California than any other state in the nation.

Though a multimillion-dollar university study has not yet revealed the reason why, many do not find it difficult to connect the dots.
California led the country in imposing draconian COVID-related guidance, closures and mandates. California has the highest tax rates. California handcuffs teachers by not allowing students who willfully defy teacher’s instructions to be suspended. And California’s new law “allows kids to be taken from their parents without evidence of abuse,” according to the Daily Caller.
Gov. Gavin Newsom, who recently was embroiled in legislation concerning paying reparations to black Americans living in California, signed Assembly Bill 665 into law on Oct. 7. The bill allows children 12 and older to consent to “mental health treatment” and move to a “residential shelter” where they can receive gender reassignment procedures.

In an Oct. 7 letter to legislators, Newsom wrote:
“This bill would align the existing laws by removing the additional requirement that, in order to consent to mental health treatment or counseling on an outpatient basis, or to residential shelter services, the minor must present a danger of serious physical or mental harm to themselves or to others, or be the alleged victim of incest or child abuse.”
“This bill would also align the existing laws by requiring the professional person treating or counseling the minor to consult with the minor before determining whether involvement of the minor’s parent or guardian would be inappropriate.”
The bill presents a back door for parents to be cut out of the loop regarding their child’s choices or confusion regarding gender identity and sexual behavior.
The Daily Caller reported that critics note the “bill identifies ‘LGBTQ+ youth’ as a group at risk for suffering depression or anxiety.”
According to the outlet, This opens the door for the removal of a child from the home “if a parent does not consent to mental health services, which, according to the legislation, can be administered by a number of individuals, including a “governmental agency” or a “credentialed school psychologist.”
Criticizing the bill is a man known as Billboard Chris. He posted his concern to X, noting that a child can go to school, become confused by those advocating gender reassignment procedures, and be encouraged not to go home.
Gov. Newsom’s letter added the following:
Youth ages 12 and older with private health insurance already have the right to consent to their own mental health services, but youth with Medi-Cal coverage do not.
This bill extends that right so that minors in Medi-Cal may also consent to their mental health care services. This bill eliminates an eligibility disparity which places lower-income youth who do not have private health insurance at a disadvantage, improving access to lifesaving care for young people.
