Just a day after Iran-backed Hamas terrorists slaughtered and kidnapped Israeli civilians, leaving a trail of bodies across Israel’s border with the Gaza Strip, Iranian Islamists in the United Kingdom are organizing an event, at a venue in London controlled by a British Hamas network, featuring pro-Hamas voices, including a prominent American Islamist leader.
On October 8, the Islamic Human Rights Commission (IHRC) is hosting a talk on “Justice, Peace and Reconciliation in Palestine.”
Counter-extremist analysts, such as noted counter-Islamist activist Habibi, have reported that speakers include Mohd Azmi Abdul Hamid, a Malaysian cleric who has apparently praised “jihad” against the “Zionist regime to the last breath and blood.”
Hamid will be joined by Dawud Walid, the director of the Michigan branch of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).
Walid has denounced Jews for having “incurred the wrath of Allah.” CAIR, meanwhile, was founded in 1994, notes the Anti-Defamation League, by three leaders of the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), a “now defunct organization that was once described by the U.S. government as part of “Hamas’ propaganda apparatus.” Its leaders have often worked to justify Hamas’s violence.
The chairman of the IHRC, Massoud Shadjareh, is also due to speak. He is a prominent supporter of Hamas, appearing alongside representatives of the designated terrorist movement at events organized by the Iranian regime.
Investigations by The Times in 2019 revealed that the IHRC, which is openly affiliated with the Iranian regime, has received hundreds of thousands of pounds from the British government in the form of charitable subsidies. The IHRC is supported by former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn and other prominent far-Left activists across the United Kingdom.
The IHRC is holding the event at the P21 Gallery, a “charitable trust established to promote contemporary Arab art and culture.”
The P21 gallery is a component of an elaborate network of charities and companies controlled by the proxies for Hamas, which operate with impunity across Britain.
This Hamas network was established and controlled by an accountancy firm, Sayam and Co, based in East London. Documents filed with the British government show that officials at the firms controlled by Sayam and Co. include Muhammad Sawalha, who, according to the BBC, is “said to have masterminded much of Hamas’s political and military strategy” from London. In 2017, The Times reported that Sawalha had been appointed to Hamas’s political bureau.
Another Hamas operative in the United Kingdom linked to the East London address (32 Store St) at which Sayam and Co. is based is Zaher Birawi. Birawi responded to the news of the Hamas rampage in Israel by posting, on social media, the text “Blessed Morning.”
The IHRC is just one pro-terror voice across the British Islamist scene. Meanwhile, Hamas-linked charities, including some run by convicted murderers, continue to fundraise openly in British cities, in collaboration with British Islamist charities.
