They’re attacking Speaker Johnson because he scares them

The following are stories just from yesterday—we’re going to have to put up with this until the election, which is twelve months from now! They can’t campaign on Joe Biden’s policies or results as they’ve been exceedingly disastrous, so they must destroy Republicans in the eyes of the voters.
Who are “they”? Well, the Democrat lobbyists posing as journalists, and they should have to register with the FEC as campaign contributors, and put a dollar value on their reports. It is no different when they ran the false Russian collusion stories, and when they buried the true story of the Laptop from Hell. They have interfered in every one of our elections for years, and it is massively more destructive than anything the Russians or Chinese have ever done.
First, we see the media wonder if Johnson has a bank account, speculating he may be living paycheck-to-paycheck:
Newly elected Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) does not have a bank account.
At least, that’s what Johnson reports on years of personal financial disclosures, which date back to 2016 and reveal a financial life that, in the context of his role as a congressman and now speaker, appears extraordinarily precarious.
Over the course of seven years, Johnson has never reported a checking or savings account in his name, nor in the name of his wife or any of his children, disclosures show. In fact, he doesn’t appear to have money stashed in any investments, with his latest filing—covering 2022—showing no assets whatsoever.
Of course, it’s unlikely Johnson doesn’t actually have a bank account. What’s more likely is Johnson lives paycheck to paycheck—so much so that he doesn’t have enough money in his bank account to trigger the checking account disclosure rules for members of Congress.
Yet I haven’t seen them worry at all about the Bidens receiving tens of millions in kickbacks from foreign countries, or having twenty shell companies that seem to launder money.
They didn’t worry that Joe and Hunter shared a bank account, and that Joe had to have Hunter pay some of his bills… but they are worried about this?
Why don’t they care about the millions of Americans living paycheck-to-paycheck, thanks to Biden’s policies slowly impoverishing them?
Here, we see Joe Scarborough of MSNBC simply level a cheap attack:
Scarborough claimed that Johnson’s proposal would appeal to ‘illegal immigrants,’ in addition to a host of other reprobates: ‘anti-Semites, tax-cheat billionaires, and Vladimir Putin!’ Scarborough underlined: ‘And that's Mike Johnson's first move.’
And AP:
Before House Speaker Mike Johnson was elected to public office, he was the dean of a small Baptist law school that didn’t exist.
The author buries the lede, and after highlighting accusations of financial impropriety and shadiness, he admits, “There is no indication that Johnson engaged in wrongdoing while employed by the private college[.]”
Here, from CNN:
Before he became a politician, House Speaker Mike Johnson partnered with an anti-gay conversion therapy group[.]
Then this, at WaPo:
‘MAGA Mike Johnson’s ascension to the speakership cements the extreme MAGA takeover of the House Republican Conference,’ a Biden campaign spokesman said in a statement when Johnson was elected. ‘Now, Donald Trump has his loyal foot soldier to ban abortion nationwide, lead efforts to deny free and fair election results, gut Social Security and Medicare, and advance the extreme MAGA agenda at the expense of middle-class families.’
This, also at WaPo:
House Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-La.) past endorsement of a creationist theme park has a large — often older and more Republican — constituency.
Most people posing as journalists are essentially puppets who will print and repeat whatever the Democrat party feeds them. That is much more dangerous to our freedom and prosperity than Republicans fighting for transparency in an election or anything President Trump has ever tweeted.
