Trump Says He Believes Biden’s Boss Is Barack Hussein Obama
“It’s never been worse than it is now under crooked Joe Biden and, frankly, his boss, Barack Hussein Obama. … I think it’s his boss,” Trump said.

Former President Donald Trump, during a campaign stop in New Hampshire, made a bold assertion regarding the current administration.
“It’s never been worse than it is now under crooked Joe Biden and, frankly, his boss, Barack Hussein Obama. … I think it’s his boss,” Trump said.
NBC News was swift to label this claim as a conspiracy theory, tracing its origins back to a 2020 interview with Obama by Stephen Colbert. During that interview, Obama humorously remarked that if he could serve as president by feeding lines to a stand-in via an earpiece, he’d be content. However, this interpretation by NBC News is somewhat tenuous, as Trump’s claims did not directly reference the idea of Obama communicating with Biden via earpiece.
Trump, not limiting his critiques to New Hampshire, voiced similar sentiments in Iowa.
“I don’t believe [Biden’s] smart enough to be doing this stuff. … I believe it’s the people that are surrounding him,” Trump said.
Further solidifying his stance, Trump, in a conversation with Just the News founder John Solomon, expressed doubts about Biden’s capability.
“I don’t ever think he knows what’s going on,” Trump said.
This sentiment isn’t isolated to Trump. Concerns about Biden’s mental health have been a topic of discussion among various groups. A letter signed by 124 retired admirals and generals highlighted questions about “who is in charge.” Polls also indicate a significant portion of Americans share these concerns. An NPR/Marist poll from May revealed that 62% of Americans view Biden’s mental health as a pressing issue. Another poll showed that 77% of Americans, including 69% of Democrats, believe Biden might be too old for a second term.
The global landscape has seen considerable shifts since Biden’s inauguration. Issues such as the war in Ukraine, Israel conflicts, rising inflation, border challenges and the fentanyl crisis have raised eyebrows.
Trump’s theory about Obama’s influence isn’t without historical precedent. When President Woodrow Wilson suffered a stroke, First Lady Edith Wilson made decisions on his behalf.
