USA: Watch: Tucker Carlson Sounds the Alarm About America’s Current Direction: ‘Abrupt Change Is Coming’

Tucker Carlson, the famed former host of the No. 1 rated news program in America, is working to reestablish his career on his “Tucker on Twitter” platform.
Fox News fired the sometimes controversial host last spring. The firing took many by surprise and caused a significant drop in Fox Network viewership. Fox responded by shuffling their talent deck, but their new lineup has yet to rebound to former rating levels.
Since his firing, Tucker has been in the spotlight for interviewing former President Donald Trump, opposing America’s support of Ukraine, claiming U.S. government officials kept him from interviewing Russian President Vladimir Putin and now, for sounding the alarm that America is near collapse.
The Daily Caller cofounder shared his warning at the annual Daily Caller News Foundation Gala on Tuesday. He warned that America’s current trajectory could lead to disaster.
Providing context for his alarming statement, Tucker said, “If something really dramatic in your country happens — like young people can’t … get married …or buy houses or have any hope for a future that approaches … the middle class upbringing they had — then you’ve got a huge problem and someone should be responding to that.”
The former Fox host continued: “And if your economy is … on the brink of collapse, … if your country is literally bankrupt, I hope someone would say that.”
Carlson added: “Or how about this? Let’s start with pretending you care … [about] what doesn’t work … and then spend $100 billion in other countries.”

Alarmed at the spending levels in war efforts across the Atlantic, Carlson cited a Center for Strategic and International Studies report that showed the Biden administration and Congress have authorized $113 billion in aid to Ukraine and will soon consider another aid package giving $60 billion to Ukraine and $40 billion to Israel, Taiwan and U.S. southern border initiatives.
Expressing concern that billions are sent oversees when America’s economic picture is bleak, Carlson said: “I don’t care how virtuous the case those countries make is, and I don’t care how much I personally may agree or disagree with what those countries are doing — that is immaterial. The job, the moral duty of the people running a country is to look out for the people in that country, period.”
Carlson added: “When every person, 350 million Americans, everyone regardless of political affiliation can feel that something bad’s coming. Everybody knows that.
“If you’ve been to church once in the last year, have you thought about the end times recently? Yes, you have … because you can feel that abrupt change is coming and that’s very disconcerting.”
Carlson’s view of America is not positive. During his speech he noted disunity in Congress, economic fragility, failure of a clear exit plan in the Ukraine and Middle East, southern border issues and a divided nation as key indicators for America’s decline.
“At the very same moment that American society is more fractured — our social fabric is in tatters and we’ve let in millions upon millions of people who have no affinity for the United States, who are merely here for the economic benefits,” Carlson continued.
“Which by the way is not all bad — and I think a lot of them are good people, I’m not attacking them. I’m merely saying their addition does not make us a more cohesive country, it makes it a far less cohesive country.”
